Marketplace Fingertip fairy|Fantasy creatures in fairy tales
When I was a kid, I loved watching Disney musical movies. What attracted me the most were the fairy flying around.
The beautiful projection of fantasy creatures in fairy tales as a child is an important source of design inspiration for me. This is the second elf I made (the first elf was made last year). I am very satisfied with the overall shape. I plan to make this elf work into ear lines.

Decolonize Spirituality Jesus: our female fairy protector
Although I was raised Catholic and am culturally Jewish, I've been away from religion since I was 12. I don't raise my kids with any particular religion, just answer questions and offer support. My son has decided he's agnostic, bordering on atheist, which is fine with me. My older daughter doesn't really think about religion, which is also fine. Due to my work schedule, my youngest daughter (5) has spent more time with her grandparents, who are all very religious, and she's said some things like "we pray to Jesus" and "Jesus is our protector." Seeing just exactly what they've been teaching her, I just randomly asked her who is Jesus? And this is what she said:
"Jesus protects us and she has fairy wings and a wand and flies around."
I asked her if Jesus was a girl, and she looked at me like I was stupid.
"Yes, Jesus is a girl and we pray to her and she protects us. And she has magic powers."
I'm pretty sure her grandparents didn't teach her that, it's just how she interpreted whatever they tried to teach her. And I feel no need to correct or deprogram any of that.

Holidays Christmas…
It’s that time of year and I feel so weird and ambivalent and even a little disenchanted about celebrating an appropriated holiday.
I don’t hate Christians, but I hate Christianity. I know hate is a strong word but I’ve been stuck on it lately. And the holidays just bring it into sharper focus.
Thanksgiving is about eating turkey and celebrating a revisionist version of a genocide.
I don’t know a lot about Yule but my understanding is that it was forcefully rejected and appropriated by Christian leaders.
Christianity has been such a force of violence in our culture and in my life. I know that it is part of a meaningful spiritual practice for millions of people, but I can’t get over the harm it’s done.
I wish I had a spiritual tradition to lean into. I’m agnostic. I just feel … again, disenchanted, by a world seemingly dominated by Abrahamic religions. Religions that violently replaced other spiritual traditions. Cut people off from much more fulfilling ways to see the world and themselves.
I’m truly sorry for the anti-Christian rhetoric. This post isn’t meant to be an attack on anybody. I just needed the space to express these thoughts.

Blessings Not the most interesting post, but I just got all of these candles for £10 off FB Marketplace, and had to show someone.
My partner went to get them for me, called me and said “it’s a VERY heavy bag”.

Blessings Update 3: Universal Motherhood and the trust of kittens
Presenting the tiny twits: Mabu (void) and Tabby. They have chosen my child as their human and even somehow found a coin on the yard for him and meowed to tell us about the treasure 🤷
I love the bond between the three toddlers (one human, two kittens). They come when he calls. The small human went to the vet with them for their first round of vaccines, told the vet they're his cats and cried he wanted a vaccine as well.
The sad back story
The mom cat moved one kitten, and then didn't come back. She didn't look good on the last glimpse I caught on the security camera. I bought these two in on a rainy day, taught them to eat and drink water... And they've been here ever since.

Selfie Sorcery 1 year since I stopped biting my nails. Never thought I could do it, and it makes me feel powerful!
I’ve been BADLY biting my nails since I had teeth basically, and this year I finally kicked the habit. My cuticles and nails/beds were so messed up, and it was just a bloody(literally) embarrassment to me that caused so much anxiety. Painting my nails helped me soo much. My new nails give me a power I never thought I could have. I don’t have a before picture because I was too embarrassed, but I wish I had a comparison to remind myself how far I’ve come :)

Marketplace I wanted to share these two small businesses (details below)
I’m not sure if these are allowed so if not apologies also wasn’t sure what tag to use sorry for that as well
I wanted to share these two small businesses that I bought from that give off total witchy vibes.
The first one is one me and my mom buy from all the time (my mom literally bought 8 soaps from them that’s how much we love them) but they are called The Little Cauldron and they make sooo many delicious smells and use all natural ingredients. So give them a look if you need natural soap (they make other products as well like laundry soap, body powder, etc)
The second one is a jewelry business that I just bought from today and she makes such pretty jewelry they are called Madame Tassel’s and she hand makes jewelry that is so pretty and so well made and she is such a nice person as well.
They both have Instagram and the jewelry business has an Etsy not sure if the soap person does I think they have their own website with the same name. The jewelry person is Madame Tassel’s on instagram and Etsy and The Little Cauldron is on instagram.
Again not sure if this post is allowed I just wanted to show these small business off cause their stuff is so nice and has such witchy vibes

Holidays It’s taken me nearly 26 years to realise that Winter Solstice and my Birthday often match up- How can I celebrate properly?
(I hope I picked the right flair)
I’m totally new to witchy stuff, just to say. So new that it’s taken me nearly 26 years to realise that my birthday, the 22nd of December, is often on Winter Solstice, or just the day after.
Safe to say I’ve had a weird year, up and down wise, but am currently experiencing the down of it all. I’ve always loved my birthday and intend to celebrate but I feel like now I have this knowledge of the spiritual significance of the Winter Solstice, I want to celebrate that too.
What are some ways that I can honour and celebrate the Winter Solstice on my birthday this year that will help me to leave all the downs of this year behind and move into the longer days feeling a bit less heavy? Can anyone tell me more about the significance or maybe legends/myths of people born on the Winter Solstice? I’m curious and excited and anything is welcome. Thank you all in advance ☺️
